The 16th Norwich Pride is on July 27th and Norfolk and Waveney Mind volunteers will have a strong presence as ever.
What is it?
The annual celebration of diverse sexualities and gender identities is a joyous day of self-expression, and will attract thousands of people to the city centre. Whether you are LGBTQIA+ or want to show support as an ally, come along and join the fun!
What will Norfolk and Waveney Mind be doing?
Come and find us at The Forum, where we will have our own stand from 10am-5pm. We will be selling unique Norfolk and Waveney Mind Pride merchandise (designed in-house specially for Pride), including T-shirts and stickers. Visitors can get information, advice and signposting for our mental health services. We are looking for volunteers to help out on the stand at The Forum.
If you are interested please email events@norfolkandwaveneymind.org.uk
We will also take part in the Pride March, which starts at City Hall at 1pm and finishes at Chapelfield Garden (you can find the route at norwichpride.org.uk/this-year/the-march/).
What if I need a quiet space too?
Throughout the day our Wellbeing Hub at REST Norwich (Churchman House, 71 Bethel Street, Norwich NR2 1NR) will provide a quiet, safe space for anyone from the LGBTQIA+ community. Open 9.30am-5pm.
