No Mind Left Behind this Mental Health Awareness Week
Mental Health Awareness Week runs from May 13th to 19th 2024. This year sees the national Mind charity and its local partners including Norfolk and Waveney Mind launch a new campaign,
#NoMindLeftBehind.
Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem, but too many of us aren’t getting the help we need.
More than two million people are waiting for NHS mental health services, and since 2017 the number of young people struggling with their mental health has nearly doubled.
People tell us they feel overwhelmed and hopeless. They need support right now. With your help we can build a better future, where no mind is left behind.
We’re calling on you to raise awareness and vital funds for a future where everyone can get quality mental health care when they need it.

About Mental Health Awareness Week
Mental Health Awareness Week is a chance for everyone to discuss all aspects of mental health, share our personal stories of coping with difficulties and highlight the need for action.
Mental Health Awareness Week 2024 has the theme of ‘Movement’ and we are all being encouraged to understand the mental health benefits of keeping active. So many of us struggle to move enough for many reasons, whether physical difficulties or the nature of our jobs, so this Mental Health Awareness Week the aim is to help people to find moments for movement in their daily routines.
This could be a walk in your neighbourhood, dancing at home to your favourite music or chair exercises when you’re watching television – it all counts!
