Norfolk and Waveney Mind introduce bereavement café for those bereaved by suicide
On Thursday 29th September the Complex Bereavement Service (CBS) from Norfolk and Waveney Mind will be hosting their first monthly bereavement café aimed specifically for those who have been bereaved by suicide.
The café will run from 11:30am – 12:30pm at the Norfolk and Waveney Mind’s new REST Community Wellbeing Hub on Red Lion Street in Aylsham and is open to anyone who has been bereaved by suicide to come along and meet others who have also been bereaved in the same way, to connect with and share their experiences.
Paul Rowlands, CBS Team Lead said “We know from our support groups how important it is to be able to connect with others who may have been really isolated and dealing with their grief, sometimes on their own, away from family, friends and society. The café will offer a friendly, safe environment where people can share their stories and their grief journeys.”
A member of the CBS team will also be on hand to answer any queries about the bereavement services on offer at Norfolk and Waveney Mind or to signpost to other areas of support.
No need to book, just turn up.
Norfolk and Waveney Mind’s Complex Bereavement Service team will also be offering 1:1 sessions with a liaison worker from 1pm – 4pm. To book an appointment, please email complexbereavementservice@norfolkandwaveneymind.org.uk.
Please note that these sessions are only available to those who have not already received 1:1 support from CBS.
