Walk through 25 miles of Norfolk countryside along this well-loved footpath that follows the route of two former railway lines.
When and where is it?
Meeting at Aylsham’s Bure Valley Railway Station at 7.30am for an 8pm departure, the walk on April 5th will include four stops – at Cawston, Reepham, Whitwell & Reepham station, and Lenwade – before finishing in Norwich near the inner ring road. You’ll receive breakfast and a support van will provide food and drink at the stops.
Why do it?
Along the way you’ll see a variety of birds, animals and plants, and pass through wildlife-rich habitats such as Whitwell Common and the Wensum river valley. It’s also a great opportunity to socialise, either by signing up to do the walk with friends or by chatting with new people you meet on the way. And of course by raising sponsorship you will be helping to support Norfolk and Waveney Mind in delivering vital mental health services.
What do I need to know?
Participants are advised to wear sensible shoes as the path may be muddy in places. All participants will receive a Norfolk and Waveney Mind T-shirt to wear during the walk and a certificate for completing it.
